    Shakeys V-League Season 8 2nd Conference Results of Games July 31, 2011

The Shakey's V-league Season 8 2nd Conference opened its doors earlier today and it was a huge success. I saw several fans in the stands. The Arena in San Juan was jam-packed and the walls in the Shakey's V-League Fan Page has been flooded with several comments coming from their fans that came from all walks of life. Some were delighted because their favorite teams won and some were disappointed because their favorite teams underperformed despite their seemed to be powerhouse line-ups. And sad to say, some were disappointed because they failed to watch the games due to their busy schedules. But don't worry because I have here the results of the games today courtesy of Shakey's V-League Fan Page. Here are the results of the games.

In the first game the San Sebastian used their well balanced attack against the hapless Philippine Air Force (PAF). Jeng Bualee, Lauren Ford and Rubie De Leon,, their three Guest Players Spear Headed the attack of the Lady Stags. They were just too much for the PAF who was just solely carried by the former UST player, Aiza Maizo. The Lady Stags won against PAF game in 3 straight sets. Aiza Maizo can't do it all for the PAF. She needs more help from Macatangay and Manzano.

On the other game, the Ateneo Lady Eagles showed that they are ready to defend their title as they trashed the Maynilad Team in three straight sets. Ateneo's first year student, Alyssa Valdez led them in thi game with 20 big points. She was helped by the very famous Fille "The Heat" Cainglet who had 15 points. Joy Cases was the only bright spot for Maynilad. They will not be able to beat other teams if they will only have one great player. She needs more production coming from Mervic Mangui. By the way, Mervic was facialized by Gretchen Ho. That was one of the highlights of the game. People who were watching at the SVL Live Stream argued about how strong the running spike of Ho was and on how much it affect the nose of Mervic. They only stopped when one of the fans said "Kung ikaw kaya tamaan nun? Malakas? hehe"
