Fil-Germans Help Improve Philippine Azkals' Performance In Germany as They Prepare For Sri Lanka Match

6 Filipino football players who are based in Germany have begun they training with the Azkals in Duren. Stephan Schrock is the most prized player among those 6. Look at his picture above. Those 6 are included in the Azkals' line-up in Germany as they go against other German football clubs for tune-up games. This is a part of their FIFA World Cup Qualifying match preparation against Sri Lanka on June 29, 2011.

Stephan Shrock is a 25 year-old athlete. Very young right? He played for the Azkals against Juni Association Football club, FC Düren-Niederau yesterday, June 15 at Duren, Germany. They won in that match. That was their first practice game in Germany. The score was 4-1. Phil Young Husband and Chiefy Caligdon score the majority of those goals but Shrock showed that he can be an effective on field defender.

Azkals' coach, Hans Michael Michael Weiss commented on Schrock’s performance. He said:

“He is a fantastic player. Schrock’s presence will be a big boost to the Azkals.”

Schrock’s rich football experience in the Bundesliga club SpVgg Greuther Fürth was shown in the game.

The other 5 Fil-Germans who are trying out for the Azkals are Patrick Reichelt, Mark Drinkuth, Manny Ott, Oliver Potschke and Patrick Hindrichsen.
