    Junior Dos Santos Beats Shane Carwin In UFC 131 Fight: Dos Santos Will Face Velasquez In Heavyweight Match

    Junior Dos Santos came out firing against Shane Carwin. As a result Carwin suffered a cut on his left cheek and his nose got broken. Dos Santos used his great boxing skills coupled with his new wrestling skills because Carwin loves to pin down his opponent. Dos Santos had to wrestle against Carwin in this match just to survive several pin downs from Carwin. Dos Santos's strength was shown in this match. This match reached the 3rd round, but Dos Santos was just too much for Carwin. Dos Santos' face was flawless after this match. Carwin's face on the other hand was bludgeoned and it looked scary. Carwin tried to fend off Dos Santos' offensive prowess by pinning him down. Just look at this picture below.



    Those pin downs made it possible for Carwin to lengthen this match up to round 3, but in the end Dos Santos won the match via unanimous decision. The score cards are: 30-27, 30-27, 30-26. The judges all scored in favor of Dos Santos. He now has a flawless 7 wins and 0 losses.

    With Dos Santos' fine showing, many sports analysts consider him as Cain Velazquez's next opponent. If the fight will happen, Velasquez will put his heavyweight world championship title on the line against Dos Santos. Dos Santos will test Cain's superb body conditioning.



    Meanwhile, in the preliminary rounds, Kenny Florian beat his younger opponent via unanimous decision. Florian next assignment will be in the 135 pound division. This is his 12th win.
