Oscar De La Hoya made a statement, saying that "Manny Pacquiao is one of the greatest fighters of all time." Juan Manuel Marquez's resolve on not to ask Pacquiao to undergo Olypic Drug testing was backed up by this statement of De La Hoya. Marquez looks up De La Hoya and that made him more confident that Pacquiao doesn't use drugs. Oscar has fought valiantly against Pacquiao even if he lost.
Marquez said that he doesn't want the Nevada State Athletic Commission to make an Olympic-style drug testing on Manny Pacquiao. He feels that his re-match against Pacquiao will be okay without any drug testing process. After all their win-loss records are almost the same. Marquez has 52 wins, 5 losses, 38 knockouts and 1 draw. Pacquiao on the other hand has 53 wins, 3 losses, 38 knockouts and 2 draws. They are almost at par with each other. Their Round 3 re-match will surely be great. It will be held the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 3, 2011. After Pacquiao, Marquez's camp is targetting David Diaz.
