Gregg Popovich and Doc Rivers Named Coaches of West and East All-Stars In NBA All-Star Game 2011 Los Angeles

Two great coaches were named earlier today as the respective coaches of the Western Conference All-Stars and the Eastern Conference All-Stars in the 2011 NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles.

The West All-Stars will be coached by the San Antonio Spurs' head coach Gregg Popovich. The Spurs have the best record in the West with 44 wins and only 9 losses. They are in fact the best team right now in the league record wise. No team in the West and in the East can match their season record. Popovich is also one of the most successful coaches in the NBA. He already have 4 NBA titles with the Spurs. He is now the longest tenured head coach in the NBA with the resignation of Jerry Sloan.

The East All-Stars will be coached by Doc Rivers. He is the head coach of the Boston Celtics. The Celtics have one of the best records in the Eastern Conference. They have a 38-14 win-loss record. He won his first NBA championship as a head coach for the Celtics.
