Smart Gilas Pilipinas is on the brink of elimination as they were defeated by the very active Japanese Team in the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China with the score of 60-58.
In Group F Japan is the only team to remain unbeaten.
The tireless defensive ethics of Japan pave the way for them as they limit the scoring of the Smart Gilas Pilipinas Team. In the first quarter Gilas just had 14 points, in the 2nd quarter they on had 15 points, in the 3rd they only had 14 and in the fourth they only had 15 points.
Japan put into waste Lassiter's 13 points, Williams' 12, Casio's 10 and Taulava's 5 points.
The Smart Gilas Pilipinas will still have a game against India on November 21 and against Taipei on the 22nd.
