PBA D League On 2011 Open For All Amateur Players 17-26 Years Old

Just like the NBA who has its own developmental league or D-League, the PBA also plans to launch its own on 2011.

The plan to have a D-League stems out from the observation that many PBA players are not yet ready to be in the PBA. They must undergo a refining process in their game and skills and that will be provided in the PBA D-League.

The PBA Commissioner Chito Salud said,
“We are finalizing the rules and tournament format for the D-League, and as soon as the Board of Governors gives its clearance, we shall launch it in 2011,”

The said league is open for all provided the players who would join the said league would be 17 to 26 years old. The PBA Board of Governors wants to train players who would most likely be in the PBA someday. They should start at the earliest possible time. This is the only way that we could produce great players.
