San Beda Still Unbeaten After 12 Games: NCAA Season 86

The San Beda Red Lions look so sharp after they beat the very promising Mapua Cardinals earlier. They were just too sharp that Garvo Lanete had 30 points and 11 assists. He burned the Cardinals by shooting 5 three pointers. The Cardinals can't seem to stop him. They sent 3 defenders just to prevent him from roasting them but they failed. Four more wins and they will have their thrice to beat advantage in the final four. What an advantage!

They won over the Mapua Cardinals via 90-78. The Cardinals weren't a bad team but San Beda was just too overpowering. Rome Dela Rosa, The Semerad Brothers, Anjo Caram and Sudan Daniels all made sure that they will win over the Cardinals. Garvo Lanete’s career-high 30 points was the turning point of the game. It was the biggest factor that contributed to their win.

San Beda Red Lions had an overwhelming first quarter that shook the hearts of the Cardinals. They had 24 points while Mapua only had 13. Mapua also had many turnovers coming from their erratic pointguards. Thus San Beda managed to build a 13 point lead over the Cardinals come the end of the first half.

When the third quarter came, it was Alln Mangahas, the younger brother of James Mangahas of DLSU single handedly carried the Cardinals on his small back. Macky Acosta and Papa Erwin Cornejo weren't in their usual moods. They struggled big time. But the biggest blow on the Cardinals was when Andretti Stevens fell down due to an injury.

The Cardinals managed to trim down the lead to only 11 points but with Jason Pascual and Garvo Lanete standing in front of them, their efforts were put into waste. They still loss the game.
