Mark Caguioa Praise Jervy Cruz After Ginebra - Rain or Shine Game

    Instagram Scoop:

Former King Tiger of UST and UAAP Season 70 MVP, Jervy Cruz, was praised by Mark Caguioa after putting in an amazing performance in the most crucial part of the all-important Ginebra-Rain or Shine game that reached 3OTs. His clutch gene prevailed as Ginebra won after 3 overtimes, 100-92.

It was a tiring game wherein the key players from both teams struggled in the overtime period perhaps due to fatigue.

Good thing Jervy Cruz was always ready when Coach Tim Cone tapped him to enter the game during Overtime. He was like a boy scout who's always ready.

He came in, grabbed some rebounds, defended the shaded lane, scored key baskets that sealed the win for his team.

He only had 16 plus minutes of playing time but he made the most out of it tallying a total of 6 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist.

Mark Caguioa described him as "Mr. Overtime."

One important lesson that we can get from this is that the amount of time given to us by our coaches will not dictate our output. It is our focused effort and preparedness that will enable us to be successful in every task given to us. Jervy Cruz did exactly that. His minutes are not as big as the main players but his rate of work is very high. In other words he's very efficient!

He may not be as athletic and as tall as the other big men out there but if you give him a slight chance, he will make it happen.
