The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is looking to barge into the PBA Philippine Cup playoffs. If they want to advance, these things have to happen.
1. Magnolia has to beat Meralco and Rain or Shine has to lose against San Miguel and Ginebra. Only then Ginebra will be sure to be part of the Top 8 (The teams that will advance in the Playoffs).
- Magnolia has already defeated Meralco via 94-68. They will enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage in the playoffs.
-Rain or Shine will face San Miguel on Feb 28 Wednesday at the Mall of Asia Arena and then it will be Ginebra vs. Rain or Shine on March 2 Friday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
2. Ginebra will enter the Top 3 to Top 6 depending on the outcome of the games between NLEX and Talk 'N Text and GlobalPort and Phoenix.
-Feb 28: NLEX vs. Talk 'N Text at MOA Arena and then on March 2, GlobalPort vs. Phoenix at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
