Run Rio Trilogy 2017 Leg 1 10K Run Conquered! Heart to Finish Indeed!

The area around the beautiful Okada Manila became a hub for runners on Sunday as the Run Rio Trilogy Leg 1 began with a bang! So much so that my Sunday morning felt exactly like an amazing festivity as the ever increasing Philippine Running Community came in full force to join the annually held event.

I've been to a lot of cardio related events and I must admit I've always looked forward to running in RunRion Inc.'s events as they've provided world-class running experience for the community since day one.

For this much anticipated marathon, I prepared really hard for my 10k run in order for me to have a better finish. I did a lot of body conditioning and mindsetting. And I'm proud to say that I crossed the finish line in 2.13 hours. Quite an improvement from my past runs. My hardwork paid off.

But on top of the finish time, I'm happy that I participated because this is for a greater cause. I ran to show my support to Dingdong Dantes' Yes Pinoy Foundation that advocates making a difference in the community. In fact, this event is partly for the benefit of the students of the Masbate School.

I will continue to work hard especially after seeing these amazing finishers break new barriers.

Moreover, that's how running is. Always better your best and who knows you might inspire others to run and be more fit! That's it for leg 1 and see you in leg 2 guys and gals!
