LeBron James Explains Why and How He Lost A LOT of Weight in the Off Season Prior to NBA 2014-2015 Season: Watch The Video Interview Here

A lot of LeBron James Instagram Photos went viral on the internet in the last few months during the off-season of the NBA. Majority of it depicted his trimmed down body.

Basketball fans talked about it online. Some fans believe that LeBron will no longer be as dominant as he was when he had a bigger and more masculine body. Others think that this is the correct move for LeBron as he is not getting any younger. They also believe that he's trying to imitate Tim Duncan's physique in order to be lighter and faster on the basketball court.

The body weight issue also became part of LeBron's exclusive interview with CNN's Miss Rachel Nichols. He shared that he has been on a strict and prolonged diet just to get his desired body weight.

Miss Rachel asked him a few questions.

RN: You've already been putting a lot of work to try to make this season successful. You've been on a strict diet.

LeBron: I've lost a few pounds. I've never been in this weight class. 250ish range.

RN: The diet was strict, right?

    LeBron: Very strict. 67 days...

RN: And what did you eat or not eat?

LeBron: I'll tell you what I couldn't have... No carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no refined sugar. No nothing. Meat, fish, veggies, fruit.

RN: What was the hardest thing you give up?

LeBron: It was either.. hehe. pancakes or chocolate chip cookies and ice cream.

RN: Are you quicker on the court now?

LeBron: I am, I am. And that's not such a good thing for the competition.

You better watch the full interview here. Fast forward to the 4:45 mark of the video for the body weight topic.
