It's one step forward and one step backward for the Los Angeles Lakers as the versatile free agent big man and long time Laker Pau Gasol has recently announced that he will join the Chicago Bulls on his Twitter account.
It is said that the Bulls have reached a mutual agreement with Pau on a multi-year deal though no contract yet between the two parties.
The 4 time NBA All Star will sign directly with the Bulls because the prior discussions between Chicago and the Lakers on a sign and trade deal involving Gasol bogged down, sources told ESPN.com.
Chicago is one of those teams that doesn't have a big cap space for an all star, that means they will have to let go some of their key players. One of them is Carlos Boozer. Boozer might be moved via the amnesty provision to make room for the Big Spaniard.
If things will go as planned, Gasol will form a formidable Bulls frontline with Noah and Gibson.
