    Breaking news:

The 7'0 center of the SMC owned Barangay Ginebra San Miguel has announced that he's declining the invitation to take part in the Smart Gilas Pilipinas Training Pool. And, contrary to what other people are saying, the dominant bigman has already informed Gilas Head Coach Chot Reyes about his decision to withdraw from the pool.

Greg said during his formal announcement that he is very honored to be part of the Gilas training pool, but during his my 4-year experience with the team, he knows the feeling of new people coming in and joining the squad, having that pressure of not knowing the roster spots. He thinks that the thing that the team started back in August, they won that and he thinks those guys (the original members of the team that won in FIBA Asia Championship 2013) should be the ones to go on and represent the country and that they really deserve to be part of the national team.
