Jamil Ortuoste Got Injured and Might Miss Some Games of San Sebastian Stags

    By Val Marvin G. Macanas

Manila, Philippines – San Sebastian Stags’ go-to-guy and leader on the basketball court Jamil Ortuoste got injured last Friday. And, it appears that he will not be able to play in some of the succeeding games of the Stags.

According to Jamil, he got injured last Friday in one of their scrimmages. He accidentally stepped on the foot of his teammate CJ Perez. His left ankle got hurt and he was advised not to play for 2-3 weeks.

When I saw Jamil a while ago after their 1st Round lopsided loss against their arch rival San Beda via 83-64, he was using crutches to lessen the pressure on his injured ankle, a definite sign that he is in a bad situation.

Coach Topex Robinson of the Stags shared an info about the injury of Jamil during the Post-game interview.

"Ortuoste will be out for 2 more weeks due to 2nd degree ankle sprain. Mark Trinidad and the rest of our second stringers will have to step up."
