Allen Iverson to Announce Retirement From The NBA in The Next Few Days

    By Val Marvin Macanas

Manila, Philippines - I’ve been hoping for an Allen Iverson (AI) return in the NBA, but it appears that it will no longer happen.

The then dubbed as the greatest 6 footer to ever play in the NBA will soon break not the ankles of his defenders but the hearts of the MILLIONS of his followers from all over the globe as he will soon retire from the game of basketball.

International sites like BallisLife.Com has already announced in their Facebook page that AI will soon retire from the NBA in the next few days.

The Game gave AI an overwhelming roller-coaster ride. But through all the ups and downs that he has experienced, his avid fans know that he remained true to himself and because of that, they came to love him even more.

His achievements are up there and for sure, they will be included in the NBA Annals. But honestly, I’d like to give credit where credit is due. I really think that AI was the one who revolutionized the game by mixing the Hip-Hop culture with the seemingly strict persona of the NBA.

The NBA became more upbeat and more entertaining while AI was in his heydays. The Hip-Hop attire and the Hip-Hop music that he used to sport back then were really something to look forward to on and off the court. It has drastically changed the NBA from that point on.

The presence of Jay-Z, Drake and other Hip-Hop artists in some of the NBA Games and their relationship with some of the top NBA Players is a proof that the Hip-Hop culture is still alive and kicking in the NBA.

That being said, let’s all together push for the induction of AI in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2015.
