Vernon Macklin Ginebra 's New Import Will Arrive On Monday: Hill To Play Last Game For Ginebra on Sunday

Ginebra suffered their second straight defeat in the PBA Season 38 Commissioner’s Cup. This time around they fell short against the up and coming GlobalPort Batang Pier via 89-80.

Prior to the game, the focus of the people was on Herbert Hill as he has been on the hot seat after a sub par performance against Air21.

Hill improved quite a bit in terms of scoring output this time around as he managed to score a team high 22 points. But sadly, it was not enough to carry Ginebra over Batang Pier.

Hill tried his very best to score for his team but he can’t seem to beat the defense of GlobalPort’s Justin Williams. Williams was able to block a lot of His shots making Him look bad on the court.

It was very clear that Hill’s skills are not as polished as the skills of Williams.

If Ginebra wants to do better in their next games, they need to have an import who can do it all for them. Perhaps, Vernon Macklin could be the answer to their problems.

After the Ginebra-GlobalPort game, I was able to meet Miss Sheryl Reyes(the well known player agent in the Philippines) in the hallway of Smart Araneta Coliseum.

I asked her when is the arrival of Vernon Macklin (the replacement of Hill) here in the Philippines. She said that "Macklin will arrive on Monday, February 18, 2013. Sure na 'yan!"

That means Hill will still play for Ginebra on Sunday when they take on Petron.

To those who are asking why Ginebra will still play with Hill on Sunday, well, they don’t have a choice because Macklin has not yet arrived in the Philippines.
