UST 's Protest Denied By Commissioner Ato Badolato, An Appeal Is Imminent

The UST Tigers succumb to defeat against the Ateneo Blue Eagles last Saturday via 68-66, but Coach Pido felt that there were some questionable instances in that game that need to be addressed such as the missed technical foul on Coach Norman Black and the goal tending violation.

Thus, UST filed a formal protest at the office of the UAAP Commissioner Ato Badolato.

Earlier today, Mr. Badolato promulgated a decision. He denied the protest of UST, saying that the goal tending call against Karim Abdul is classified as a judgement call(JC). JCs are calls that are irreversible, meaning, they can no longer be changed.

However, that didn't demoralized Coach Pido. In an interview, Coah Pido said that they will make an appeal to the UAAP Board. This time around, he wants to focus more on the missed technical foul that should have been given to Coach Norman after he crossed the line towards the officials' table.

UST is currently tied with FEU in the 2nd spot of the Team Standings with an identical 9-4 win-loss record.
