Few days ago the UAAP Season 75 Commissioner Ato Badolato declared that the game winning Lay-up of RR Garcia was counted and that it was very clear that the ball was released in time.
But Coach Junel Baculi, the Athletic Director of the NU Bulldogs, didn't stop from making an appeal. He decided to bring the case to the UAAP Board.
The UAAP Board promised that they will release the decision today, September 7, 2012.
After several hours of deliberation, the UAAP Board overturned Commissioner Ato Badolato's decision. They deemed RR Garcia's lay-up, NOT COUNTED.
In effect, FEU's win against NU will not be counted. Their win-loss record will become 7-3. UST will now be in the 2nd spot of the current Team Standing with an 8-3 win-loss record. NU's win-loss record on the other hand will become 6-4, just 1 game behind DLSU.
FEU and NU will have a rematch on September 23.
