Letran Sweeps Regular Season Series Against San Sebastian

    By Kristina Caramel Sy

The Letran Knights' armors shone once again as they toppled the San Sebastian Golden Stags, 87-62, in their NCAA Season 88 Men's Basketball 2nd Round face-off at the Arena in San Juan.

Kevin Racal played a crucial role for Letran as he assisted their leader, Kevin Alas that dominated the court in the 4th quarter. Together they established a 24-10 run for Letran in the final quarter.

Coach Louie Alas of the Knights gave credit to Racal and dubbed him as the Barometer of the team.

Stags trio, with the missing link, Ronald Pascual, failed to maintain their lead until the end of the game as the Knights limited their outside shots. Pascual missed a lot of three pointers in this game because of Letran's nice perimeter defense.

Michael Miranda showed his presence in this match as he garnered 6 points and 6 rebounds, but his efforts only lasted for 3 quarters as the Knights went on to take charge in the 4th quarter.

Kevin Alas, Lituania and Cruz fired numerous treys that sealed the win for the Knights. They have swept their regular season series against the Stags.

Coach Alas later on revealed that their target is to clinch a spot in the Final 4.
