Jones Cup 2012 AKTV 13 Schedule of Airing of Games: Watch Gilas 2.0 Games On Free TV!

The 34th William Jones Cup 2012 has already started last August 18, 2012 at Taiwan, and Smart Gilas Pilipinas 2.0 is looking to win it all. They started their campaign on a high note via an 88-78 win over Jordan. That's a strong sign that we're in it to improve on our 3rd place finish last year behind the eventual Champion Iran and the 2nd placer South Korea.

Smart Gilas 2.0 will face 7 other teams in the Jones Cup 2012, namely, USA (made up of mostly College players + NBA Veteran Big Man and former Laker Josh Powell), Lebanon, Jordan, South Korea, Guang Hua (Chinese Taipei Team B), Zhongzhua (Chinese Taipei Team A) and Japan.

Our team will be spearheaded by the veteran Marcus Douthit. He will play alongside PBA Stars such as LA Tenorio, Jeff Chan, Ranidel De Ocampo, Sonny Thoss, Mac Baracael, Enrico Villanueva, Gabe Norwood, Sol Mercado, Larry Fonacier and Gary David. The team will also include 2 very promising cagers, San Beda's Garvo Lanete and the lanky Matt Rosser - Coach Chot's discovery.
