Arnold Clavio's Statement After The Azkals Issue On A Morning Show: Read It Now!

For the past few days, the World of Philippine Football has been shaken by an issue involving GMA 7's Mr. Arnold Clavio and The Philippine Azkals.

The issue started when Mr. Arnold Clavio said something on a Morning Show "Unang Hirit." His statement steam rolled and became viral online.

Here's a transcript of what he said in the show.

Kasi wala dito (pointing to his heart) at wala dito (pointing to his head) 'eh. Di naman kayo Pilipino. Nagpapanggap lang kayong kayumanggi...."

I don't know if what he said is offensive enough, but it proved to be enough to catch the attention of the Millions of Filipino Football fanatics in and around the world. In fact, it became viral on Twitter and on Facebook. It also became a hot topic online as the haters as well as the fanatics of the Philippine Azkals shared their opinions regarding the issue.

In between those heated arguments, here comes the Official statement of Mr. Arnold Clavio regarding the said issue courtesy of gmanetwork.com.

I just hope that this is enough to settle the issue once and for all. After all, we all love our very own Philippine Azkals and Philippine Football.

maybe what he meant was that they are not Filipinos by heart

Filipino men are known to be gentlemen not the way this Azkal members have acted...Sorry to Angel Locsin but maybe Phil is not the one in question here but as supposed to be the leader of the team he should discipline his members and teach them how to be gentlemen...let's not avoid the real issue.

yeah apologies and understanding are two different words...If I were in Arnold's shoes I will say the same since there is no reason for me to apologize the azkals really did misbehave and that is a fact but then he realizes that not everyone understands his viewpoint with that he humbly seeks understanding...where is the "yabang" there?

igan should be really sorry for what he said. azkals made a mistake on the harrasment thing only. i think he doesnt have the right to insult a person. he must not judge a person on the 1 thing he did wrong.

All of a sudden dami nagalit kay arnold dahil sa nasabi niya out of disappointment sa inasal ng mga iilan sa Azkals.. it's not the first time some of them were involved on the same kind of issue.. The issue here is kung ano yung nagawa nung iba sa Azkals.. obviously they are mad on arnold not because of the "racist" remark "daw" but because natatapakan para sa kanila yung mga idol nilang pogi.. na tama naman si arnold, they were just happen to be filipino by blood but their attitude is very unfilipino. Look at the content of what he said as a whole, not just the last part which is nakakaasar para sa inyo kung die hard Azkals kayo no matter what

Bilang isang tax payer at sports fan at the same time, nakakadismaya makakita ng news about athletes being supported by tax(mandatory by law, though just portion of our tax goes to the budget of PSC)payers. Tama lang naman sinabi ni Arnold. Ang gravity nga lang ng message nya differs from one to another person.
