Angel Guirado and James Younghusband To Miss AFC Challenge Cup 2012 Semis vs. Turkmenistan After Getting 2 Yellow Cards Each

After our breakthrough win last night against Tajikistan via 2 goals to 1, a devastating news coming from ABS-CBN Sports came in and it says that James Younghusband and Angel Guirado will not be playing in the Semi-Finals against Turkmenistan on Friday, March 16, 2012 because they have already accumulated 2 yellow cards each in this Year's AFC Challenge Cup. That was a big blow to the chances of the Azkals because they will be heading into the semis without their 2 veteran players, Angel and James. That was very unfortunate considering that they were 2 key players who contributed heavily in the wins of the Azkals. In fact, Angel scored 1 goal against Tajikistan. The other goal came from Phil.

But then again, the absence of James should not be an excuse for the Azkals to not perform well against Turkmenistan after all, the Philippines has a better FIFA World Ranking than Turkmenistan. We're ranked 156th and they are ranked 166th.
