The Petron Blaze Boosters, from 3 consecutive losses, escaped the tough match as they defeated the Alaska Aces last night, 86-80, in the PBA on Tour held at Hoop-dome in Lapu-Lapu Cebu City.

Joseph Yeo, the best player of the match with 27 big points and 9 rebounds, led the Petron Blaze Boosters as he showered continuous back-to-back baskets which resulted to their biggest two-digit lead,74-63, with 8:17 remaining in the game clock of the 4th quarter.

LA Tenorio fired back-to-back 2 pointers, coupled by Baracael's successful 3 pointers, resulting to a 9-0 run in the last 3:22 mark of the 4th quarter. That run cut their two-digit deficit to 3 points, 80-77. But Yeo crashed the hopes of the Aces as he successfully shot his 2 buckets, resulting to a two-possesion ball game. The Aces struggled to score as LA Tenorio missed his tear drop shot.

The Aces succumbed to defeat while Petron goes up to 4-3 in their win-loss record.
