The Powerade Tigers are back in action as they defeated the Petron Blaze Boosters with the final score of 108-94 in the 37th Season of the PBA. The game was held at the Ynares Gym in Antipolo. This win is big for the Tigers because prior to this game they've experienced 2 consecutive losses.

In the start of this game, Petron was quick on their feet as they generated their biggest 12 point lead from the unstoppable buckets of Cabagnot, Ildefonso, and "spiderman" Arwind Santos with 1:23 remaining in the 1st Quarter. But the "Grenade" of the Powerade Tigers, Gary David, who ended the game with his new career high of 42 points. He led his team in getting the lead from Petron using their transition offense with 36 seconds remaining in the 1st half. Marcio Lassiter added another 2 points plus one bonus free throw as he was fouled by Ildefonso, ending the 1st half, 48-44 for the Tigers.

In the 3rd quarter, the Blaze Boosters were able to get back the lead as Alex Cabagnot and Arwind Santos fired 2 point shot and 3 point shot respectively, but David quickly answered those hot shots as he made continuous 3 pointers en route to having 42 points all in all. That 42 point output was his new career high.

All throughout the game, the Petron Blaze Boosters were giving too much and lo and behold, Arwind Santos incurred his 6th and final foul in the last 3:14 mark of the 4th quarter.

Arwind's lost further enabled Powerade to stretch their lead to double-digits. Miranda gave 2 consecutive fouls. It caused his team to be in the penalty situation. And David's final bonus free throws assured Powerade's victory today over the Blazers, 108-94.

As a result of this game, both Powerade and Petron now have identical 3-3 win-loss records.
