Jeff Chan PBA Player of The Week October 17-23, 2011: The New Allan Caidic?

    Photo came from PBA.ph

The PBA Press Corp's latest Player of the week is Jeff Chan. He is the third player to be named as the PBA Season 37 Philippine Cup Player of The Week. Alex Cabagnot and Harvey Carey were the first two players who received the award.

Just like Alex and Harvey who acted as the heroes of their respective teams, Jeff was also the hero behind the back-to-back wins of his team, the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters (ROS). In fact, throughout ROS' 5 games, Chan averaged 16 points, 3 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.4 steals per game. His great performance positively affected his team and thus, they now have a 4-1 win-loss record. They are currently at the top of the standings.

In those 4 wins of ROS, Chan's best performance came in their game against the win-less Alaska Aces. He burned the Aces using his "Allan Caidic Like" shooting from beyond the arc. He made 6 three pointers all in all in that game. He accumulated 20 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds, and 2 steals at the end of that match. The final score of that game was 120-84 in favor of ROS.
