The NCAA Brazen @ 87 already crowned the season's star players after the Juniors game between the San Beda Red Cubs and the La Salle Greenhills Greenies. The Greenies won in game 1 and the series is now down to a best of three affair.

Going on, for the Junior's Division, the Defensive Player of the Year Award was given to Sydney Onwubere of EAC as he had the average of 12.4 ppg and 2.3 blocks per game. He also got a spot in the Mythical five. The Most Improve Player Award was given to Francis Abarcar of the San Beda Red Cubs. The Rookie of the year award was given to Luigie Cuyos. The Mythical Five, aside from Onwubere were Aldrin Serafica, Ivan Villanueva and Rey Nambatac of CSJL Squires and Von abatayo of the SBC RED CUBS.

NCAA Junior's MVP award was given to the last season's rookie of the year and back-to-back mythical five player Rey Nambatac of CSJL Squires.

For the Seniors division, Ian Paul Sangalang of the SSC-R GOLDEN STAGS got the Defensive Player of the year due to his gigantic number rebounds per game. The Most improve player of the season was Raymond Almazan of the Letran Knights. The Mapua Cardinals also had a player who won an award as their very own Josan Nimes bagged the NCAA Senior's rookie of the year plum.

The Mythical Five were expected to be from the 5 best scorer of their team during the eliminations. Almazan and Kevin Alas of CSJL, Garvo Lanete of SBC, and Ian Paul Sangalang and Calvin Abueva for SSC-R.

The Most Valuable Player of the season was given to no other than Calvin "The Beast of Baste" Abueva for making monstrous 18 double-double outputs this NCAA Season 87. Magaling nga pero may kayabangan, kaya sila nasisilat, nasisira din ang maganda nilang laro.
Kaya nilang talunin ang San Beda sa totoo lang kaya lang pag sinumpong ang kalokohan nya damay ang buong team. Ur really strong underneath, no question about that. Tanggalin mo lang kayabangan mo at mga pasimple mong pagsiko sa mga kalaban may kinabukasan ka sa PBA n u become superstar also.
