That was the list of NBA players who might play here in Manila against our very own Smart Gilas Pilipinas Team on July 25 and 26 at the Mecca of Philippine Sports Araneta Coliseum.
The tune-up games have a two fold purpose. First, it aims to help our Smart Gilas Team as the tune-up games will replace the canceled European Training Trip of Gilas and second, it is for the post birthday celebration of one of the business moguls and sports lovers in the Philippines, Manny V. Pangilinan or MVP for short, who owns the Meralco and Talk 'n Text teams in the PBA. His birthday will fall on July 14, 2011. Happy Birthday MVP!
Instead of receiving gifts because of his birthday, MVP wants to give back and to make the Filipino Basketball Fans happy through the NBA Games. Hopefully his plan might happen.
