Meralco's New Import Tim Pickett to Replace the Ailing Champ Oguchi for The Rest of PBA Governors' Cup 2011

Champ Oguchi has been an offensive machine for the the Meralco Bolts. So far he has given his team 2 important wins in the current PBA Governor's Cup 2011, but his health has been a question. He has been suffering from diverse ailments and the team management thinks that he may not be able to handle the grind of their last 4 games in the eliminations of the Governors' Cup that's why they called the services of the former Florida State University All American Tim Pickett.

Picket is a sharp shooter shooting guard who can score at will. He averaged 23.2 point per games and 5-7 rebounds per game. He's a versatile basketball player. He can play the 1, 2, and 3 positions. He arrived earlier in the Philippines and he has already practiced with the Meralco Bolts.

Pickett has played professional basketball in China and in Israel. He was a 2004 NBA draftee. He was drafted by the New Orleans Hornets. He has a lot of experience to back him up in the PBA. Meralco is saying that the only possible reason that might hinder him from playing in the PBA is his 6'4 height. Tomorrow he'll be measured in the Commissioner's office and if he'll be cleared to play, he will join his team on Wednesday against Air 21.

Marlou Aquino will also be back after being sidelined by an injury. The 6'9 Pangasinan native will shore up the front line of the Meralco Bolts.

Here's how Tim Picket Plays. He's a pure shooter. When he's hot, he's unstoppable.
