Bobby Ray Parks Jr, Approved To Play in The UAAP Season 74: Ready to Face Kiefer Ravena

Today is the day that the whole NU Community jumped because of happiness as their number 1 recruit this year, Bobby Ray Parks Jr. was already approved by the UAAP eligibility committee. He will join his NU team in the upcoming UAAP Season 74 which will open on July 9, Saturday.

Bobby Parks Jr. expressed his plea earlier today and the UAAP Board accepted it. They also took into consideration that both of his parents are OFW's thus, they are considered as Filipinos working abroad and therefore, they are still Filipino citizens. He also didn't study his college in the USA and therefore, just like any freshman, he can be a regular student in NU. He doesn't have to fulfill the 1 year residency rule.

Bobby Parks Jr. also showed that he can speak and write in Filipino. He made a written plea and here's an excerpt of it.

“Sana po makapaglaro ako at i-bless ako ni God pati na ‘yung mga nagre-review ng papeles ko. Excited ako mag-UAAP kasi ang daming magagaling na players dito (I hope I would be blessed to play and those tasked to review my papers. I’m so excited to play in the UAAP since there are many good players here).”

“Competitive po talaga ang UAAP at gusto ko lang makalaro at makalaban yung magagaling (The UAAP is indeed competitive and I want to play against the best).”

The UAAP Eligibility Board heard his prayers and so they've declared him eligible for the upcoming UAAP Season 74 which will open on July 9. Awhile ago, the Board also cleared Greg Slaughter to play for Ateneo in the UAAP Season 74.
