Ateneo Lady Eagles Want Rachel Ann Daquis and other Big Time Spikers For the Shakeys V League 2nd Conference

After majority of the other teams begged off to play in the upcoming Shakey's V-League 2nd Conference on July 17, 2011 because of academic problems, the Ateneo De Manila University Lady Eagles continue to upgrade their current team line-up for them to be more competitive in the upcoming semi-commercial 2nd Conference of the Shakey's V-League. Aside from their 2 new regular players, Mae Tajima and Sarah Cruz, the Lady Eagles are looking to get Rachel Ann Daquis, Aiza Maizo, Nerissa Bautista and Jovelyn Gonzaga. The V-League has already allowed more than 2 guest players this 2nd Conference that's why they can get all those 4 big time players. Daquis and all the other 3 players will definitely increase the fighting spirit of the Lady Eagles. They will definitely have a better chance against the Air Force who also have great players. Wendy Anne Semana was reported to be one of the players of the Air Force team. The only problem for the Ateneo is that if the players don't want to play for them, they will no longer be able to do anything about it. It all depends upon the player's choice. Good luck to the Ateneo Lady Eagles.

Here's the official news from the Ateneo Lady Eagles Facebook page.

Lithawat Kesinee said she will miss the upcoming V-League conference. Other players being eyed are Jovelyn Gonzaga, Nerissa Bautista, Aiza Maizo and Rachel Anne Daquis. Let's hope we will be successful in getting all four of them! Go Ateneo, One Big Fight!

athletes do play for their school but it is the passion of playing the sport that counts the most.take off the uniform and there is nothing but the spirit of just playing.if rachel feels comfortable playing that way for another team then why not???? she only has a few years left in competitive volleyball... might as well do it for the love of the game....== just an opinion
