    Ateneo Lady Eagles' Alyssa Valdez and Bea Tan Placed 7th in Beach Volleyball Tournament





    "We're slowly getting there!" That's the perfect statement for our Philippine Beach Volleyball team program as the duo of Ateneo's Alyssa Valdez and Bea Tan placed 7th among 16 international team participants in the International Beach Volleyball Tourney which was held in China.

    Take note, it was their first ever stint in a tournament like that, but they were able to brush aside their green horn jitters to finish 7th place, which is not bad for first timers. They even advanced into the quarter finals wherein they fought valiantly, but they fell short.

    But one thing is for sure, these two girls really have a heart to win. Their efforts should be appreciated and they should be respected. For me, they are the future of Philippine Beach Volleyball so let's just congratulate them for a job well done. Congratulations Gals!
