Sudan Daniel Will Not Be Able To Play In NCAA 87 Because of ACL Injruy: NCAA Championship is Open For All

After losing in the 2011 FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup championship against the Ateneo De Manila University, the San Beda Red Lions will have to deal with two new problems. First, they have to deal with the lost of Sudan Daniel in their line-up and second, they will have to find a guy who will replace him. Sudan's ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) injury has not yet been healed and he will have to be sidelined for the rest of the NCAA Season.

The NCAA Season 87 will already be on July 3, 2011. Barely 2 weeks from now. They will have to face the reality that their Superman Sudan Daniel will be out for the rest of the season. They will have to double time their training so that they can be able to adjust quickly. Their other big guys, the Semerad twins, Jake Pascual, Dave Marcelo and Kyle Pascual will have to step up in their game. But still, you'll have to ask, who will replace Daniel? Those guys are not as tall and as athletic compared to Daniel. San Beda could field in their new big man, Ola Adeogun, but they will have to violate the 1 year residency law in the NCAA. That will not be a good plan. That might backfire to the San Beda community. And so, the question will still be a hanging question. Perhaps we'll have to wait until the season starts. The players of San Beda will have to answer it on their own.

Taking a deeper look at Sudan's injury, he might be out longer than expected because he tore his ACL. Sundan initially insisted to play through the injury but their team doctors said that it will only aggravate his injury. He should take a rest and he should prepare for an upcoming surgery. With his injury, coach Frankie Lim remained steadfast in his resolve, he said:

“We’re preparing the boys to play minus Su. All the other teams became stronger this year with talented recruits. With Su out, at least five other teams will battle it out for this year’s title. We tried to find some other ways but doctors advised Su to undergo an operation as soon as possible. We are not as strong as last year but I can assure the Bedan community that we will go out there to win with or without Su."

Sudan Daniel is a very import player for San Beda. He led them to an 18-0 title sweep last NCAA season. He was eventually named as the MVP that year. He's virtually unstoppable in the paint, averaging tripple-double numbers. He will be a big void in the San Beda line-up. With his lost, the NCAA Season 87 trophy will be in a pandemonium hunt. Arellano, JRU, San Sebastian, Mapua and Letran are all interested to get that trophy.

Tama lang yan. As commenter "black" said, karma tumama sa kanila. If not for their exchange players they will never got any success in the NCAA. Exchange student my ass. Yes it's completely legal to get help from these players, but what about other schools who can't afford to get one. San Beda and their system makes me sick. Lumaban kayo ng patas. If you want players, make sure they have Filipino blood. Sinasayang nyo lang yung spot na napunta dapat sa isang pinoy baller at the expense of winning a championship.

Another idiotic loser/hater who knows too much. Lol. I'm not from San Beda but I don't sour-grape over them winning the Championship with an import. Just focus on how your team (if you have one)does... baka sila ang me problema... baka WEAK?!

...it pays to be rich...if your school can't afford to recruit top caliber athlete abroad then cry all day...who told you that life is fair...wake up, its common for schools here and abroad to invite local or foreign student athlete.CHILAX kiddo! just enjoy the game!

Sadly, just like in MOST sports, whoever has the resources to buy/get/request the best player wins! This time it's Beda and Ateneo c/o MVP's finances.
No rule was violated as Daniels is a legit student, however, it's just a matter of principle for Bedans. If they can sleep knowing that they are playing around with the system then let them be.
This year will be the best time for Beda to prove that they can win without an import.

Grabe yung isang nag comment sa article. Come'on.. Beda is rich enough to get imports. And besides, with or without Su.. they can win. If you want it to be fair, get an import. It's not karma.. its just that its time for them to prove everyone how strong they are.

we can definitely win without Sudan! 2011 NCAA Champions! Go redlion!

See? San Beda won without Su. This just proves that San Beda doesn't need an import to be the champion. I'm still disappointed that the Mighty Sudan Daniel didn't play the game. I'm not a Bedan nor a Sebastino, I'm a just an avid sports enthusiast ;) CHILL GUYS
