FEU Tamaraws Beat DLSU Green Archers In 2011 FilOil Quarterfinals: FEU Advances Into The Final 4

RR Garcia was not evident in the first half of this quarterfinals game but he found his rhythm in the third quarter. From then on FEU never looked back and they've just maintained their lead. DLSU tried their best in pressuring Terence Romeo and RR Garcia but their last ditch efforts were put into waste. They still lost to the Tamaraws with the score of 73-68. Terence Romeo was able to shoot his crucial free throws in the last 28 seconds of the ball. He was the one who sealed the fate of La Salle. He and RR Garcia, the reigning UAAP MVP handled most of the scoring chores for FEU. RR Garcia had a monstrous 30 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists in this very intense ball game.

With less than 5 minutes in the 4th quarter, FEU still had a 13 point lead. De La Salle's Tayshaun Prince Andrada made a hard earned 4 straight quick points that cut the lead down to 9 points. La Salle fouled RR Garcia to send him into the line but he was able to sink but of his charities. La Salle next fouled Terence Romeo. Just the same, he sank both of his free throws. That's what sealed the fate of La Salle. FEU advanced in tho semi-finals or in the Final 4 of FilOil Flying V Hanes Premier Cup. They will face the Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 4:00 p.m.. The game will be televised live on Studio 23.
