Last May 2011, Brock Lesnar's intestinal disease otherwise known as diverticulitis re-occurred and it left him with no choice but to take a long rest from fighting in the octagon. He did all the necessary things just to fight and get rid of that dreaded disease. He first underwent some treatment at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota and the doctors had to remove 12 inches of his colon.
Dana White, the president of UFC said that Lesnar could be back early next year. This is also the belief of the UFC Charmain Lorenzo Fertita.
With the win of Junior Dos Santos against Shane Carwin, Lesnar's fire and drive to beat him increased. For sure they will meet in a heavyweight match next year. Lesnar is also looking to have a re-match fight against Cain Velasquez. Velasquez beat him via TKO last year. He definitely wants to get back up against the Heavyweight champ.
