B-Meg Beats Talk 'n Text In Dubia PBA Games for 2011 Governors Cup

After experiencing a close fight from the Powerade Tigers last Saturday, the Talk 'n Text Tropang Texters (TNT) have finally gave into defeat against the empowered B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados. The Llamados beat TNT via 111-105 in their Dubai game yesterday which was held at the Al Shabab Sports Club in Al Mamzar, Dubai. The Llamados has found the answer to their problems after they replaced Stefhon Hannah with Darnell Hinson. Hinson is the reason why they won this game against the taller and heftier Tropang Texters.

Hinson showed that he is a reliable import as he scored 26 big points. He played as if he's not a new player for the Llamados. James Yap was very happy because of their new import's big time performance. He was empowered by Hinson's contagious energy on the court. James was able to score 32 points which came mostly from the outside. He also had 7 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block. Hinson also showed his slashing ability in this game. He was also able to issue kick-out passes to the open James Yap. Those nice passes helped James Yap shoot 4 out-of 9 from the 3 point area. Yap and Hinson combined to beat TNT and to hand them their first loss in the Governors' Cup 2011. The Llamados now have 3 wins and 2 losses while Talk ‘N Text on the other hand now have 3 wins and 1 loss.

Here's the whole story of the game which I got from www.pbaddicts.net.
Talk ‘N Text dictated the tempo of the game in the first two quarters. They had a 29-21 advantage at the end of the first quarter and led by as much as 11 points, 35-24, in the first few minutes of the second quarter.

After half time, Hinson, Yap and Mark Pingris orchestrated big third quarter rally for B-Meg and never ceded the lead to Talk ‘N Text en route to their win.

“This is a great win for us. We handed Talk ‘N Text its first loss in the tournament and we improved our record,” B-Meg coach Jorge Gallent told Sport360°.

Talk ‘N Text head coach Chot Reyes was frustrated after the game. He stayed for half an hour in the dug-out. “We sucked big time. B-Meg wanted to win more than us,” he said.

Talk ‘N Text playmaker Jimmy Alapag said they will just take a rest and re-group for their game today against Barangay Ginebra Kings at 6 pm.

    The scores:

    B-Meg 111—J. Yap 32, Hinson 26; Pingris 17, Devance 16, Simon 9,
    Allado 4, R. Yap 3, Reavis 2, Villanueva 2, Gaco 0, Fernandez 0.

    ...Talk N’ Text 105 – Castro 24, Baker 20, De Ocampo 20, Carey 20,
    Williams 10, Alvarez 4, Fonacier 3, Alapag 2, Aban 2, Peek 0, Lao 0,
    Oreta 0.

    Quarters: 21-29; 53-56; 82-74; 111-105

This would certainly shut up all those Hannah lovers. Like I said earlier, BMeg needs a swingman, Hinson played that posion to a T which translates into Yap being open outside almost all the time. those timely drop pass from Hinson proved to crucial for the game. Let's hope Kerby will be back and so is reavis. May katapat na TnT.
