Ateneo Blue Eagles Beat FEU Tamaraws In FilOil 2011 Premier Cup Semifinals

Despite shooting 1 out of 5 from the field Ateneo's Kiefer Ravena provided a steady back court with Emman Monfort. Ravena issued crispy passes to his teammate Greg Slaughter. Slaughter on the other hand didn't waste those passes as he led the Blue Eagles in scoring and in beating the lifeless FEU Tamaraws. The final score was 82 to 74.

Ateneo led in almost all quarters but still FEU was a tough team to beat. Fortunately, Ateneo was able to maintain their composure down the stretch while FEU was making their run. Ateneo's new big man, Greg Slaughter had to score 24 points, 13 rebounds, 1 block and 2 steals just to beat FEU. We can say that he's unstoppable in this game. FEU's big men were no match against the 7'0 Slaughter.

Finally, the 2011 FilOil finals puzzle is now complete. Ateneo will face San Beda on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.. The game will be telecast live on Studio 23. The Finals game is expected to be a close one because Ateneo beat San Beda only by 3 points in the elimination round.
