Taj Gibson Posterizes Dwyane Wade: First Time He Got Dunked On

Dwyane Wade never thought that he will experience being dunked over by a rookie, Taj Gibson. Its a double whammy for Wade as his Heat lost to the Bulls in their Eastern Conference Game 1 series opener. They lost by 19 points, 103 to 82 with Rose and Deng leading the way. They were outclassed by the Bulls who swept them in their regular season series 3 game to none. Wade said that they took a bad beating in game 1 and most especially, he got dunked over by Taj Gibson.

Taj Gibson's Facial dunk against Wade showed the Bulls' overflowing confidence in this game. He just dunked over an elite player in this league. Wade was humbled because of that emphatic dunk. That was his first experience of a facial dunk this season courtesy of Taj Gibson. He did not expect that to happen but I admired his humility when he said in an interview with The Tribune:

“First time I got dunked on all year. ‘I’ll take my 90-to-1 (ratio) of my blocks and my dunks (upon). He really got pumped, it was good. It was a very athletic play, I knew I didn’t have a chance when I started back-pedaling when I saw him take off. It won’t be the last time I get dunked on.’”

This is the Eastern Conference finals, we should expect more strong dunks on the rim just like what Taj did on Wade.

Here are the replay videos of Taj Gibson's dunk and The Bulls' win in game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals 2011.
