NCR Wins Overall Palarong Pambansa Championship 2011

The National Capital Region (NCR) wins the overall championship title of the very colorful Palarong Pambansa 2011. The games were held at Dapitan City.

NCR accumulated 572.7 points to win the title. Falling on the second place was Region 6 which is otherwise known as Western Visayas. The second placer had 479.5 points.

The third placer was Region 4-A or Calabarzon which had 430.5 points. The fourth placer was Region 7 or Central Visayas with 333.5 points.

The point system was adapted this year to substitute for the medal tally system.

As an important note, the Palarong Pambansa is where most UAAP and NCAA coaches recruit athletes. If you want to be an athlete and to gain a scholarship in college, try to participate in the Palarong Pambansa.
