Dallas Mavericks Beat Lakers In Game 3 of Semis 2011 NBA Playoffs: 1 More Win For The Western Conference Finals

Dallas relied on their bench to beat the fired up Lakers in game 3 of their best of 7 Western Conference semi-finals. Dallas won with the score of 98-92. They take a commanding 3-0 advantage and they are now 1 win away from disposing the Lakers. In the world of sports, only four professional teams have come back from a 0-3 disadvantage in any series. There were three teams in Hockey, one team in Baseball and none from the NBA. There were 98 professional teams who have tried, but they failed to make a comeback in a best of 7 series.

The bench players of Dallas especially Jason Terry and Peja Stojakovic added some fire power for the Mavericks. They helped Dirk Nowitzki in scoring for Dallas. Nowitzki had 18 points in the first half alone and all in all he scored 32 points and 9 rebounds in the game. Peja on the other hand had 15 points, he is slowly getting his former stroke back. Terry also did some damage on the Lakers. He had 23 big points for the Mavericks. He has the greatest in between game for the Mavericks. When he shoots a perimeter shot, 90 percent of the time, he knocks it down.

Andrew Bynum was the lone bright spot for the Lakers. He had 14 points in the first half including a break away jam off the steal from Dirk Nowitzki. He's the superman in this game although his efforts were put to waste. Kobe Bryant was a bit reluctant in this game. His shot selection was a bit questionable. He only had 17 points in this game. But the biggest question mark was Pau Gasol. He appears to be listless and disinterested to score. I don't know if he's afraid of Dirk Nowitzki or he's just too soft to be the best big man in the NBA. Mark Jackson had a negative comment about Pau's style of playing. He said that Pau must toughen up or else they will be swept. Derrick Fisher was also absent minded in this game.
