Chicago Bulls Beat Atlanta Hawks In Game 6 To Enter Eastern Conference Finals Against The Heat

It will be the new blooded Chicago Bulls versus Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals, bring it on! After 13 years of waiting since 1998 during the time of Jordan, the Bulls will again be in the Finals. The Bulls have beaten the fiery Atlanta Hawks in game 6 via 93-73. The Bulls worked on both ends as they defended Horford and Crawford very well and their offense became so smooth with Rose running tons of pick and rolls with Carlos Boozer who had a monstrous double-double game with 23 points and 13 rebounds on a 9 out of 11 shooting from the field. Rose also had a double-double game with 15 points and 10 assists.

Kyle Korver, Roney Brewer and Keith Bogans rotated in guarding Joe Johnson. I feel for Joe Johnson because he didn’t have the support that he needed coming from Jamal Crawford and Marvin Williams. Joe Johnson had 23 points but it was not enough to upend the Bulls’ ran. Jamal Crawford and Marvin Williams were the weakest links on the Hawks’ side. Crawford shot only 2 out of 9 on the floor. He only had 6 points in this game. Williams on the other hand was off in this series. He didn’t have a single point in this game. Al Horford also struggled in this game. He shot only 2 out of 8 in this game. Joachim Noah got the better of him. They were teammates in college, in the University of Florida and so they’re familiar with each other’s style of playing.

Omer Asik was the X-Factor for the Bulls. This 7 footer had a monster slam again Pachulia and Josh Smith. He did a shot fake and then a power dribble and then he finished the play with a statement two-handed dunk. He’s slowly coming out of his shell. This guy will be scary in the years to come for the Bulls. He’s quick for his size and he’s not afraid of any body. That’s my boy right there!

The Bulls also made the passing lanes tight for the Hawks. Josh Smith can’t seem to find his spots on the floor because of the Bulls’ tight defense. The usual penetrations of Jeff Teague were also removed by the Bulls.

The lights were turned off. We saw the Bulls’ flag rising above the Hawks. All of a sudden the Bulls marched into the Eastern Conference Finals behind Derrick Rose. It’s the position that they’ve longed to reach since 1998. They have won the MVP award and the Coach of the year award one more thing is missing, an NBA championship ring.

Here’s the Chicago Bulls vs. Atlanta Hawks Game 6 replay video highlight from YouTube.
