Fille Cainglet has a new moniker, she’s now known as “The Heat.” She just showed why she’s the source of heat this summer as she burned the wings of the Adamson Lady Falcons today in their Shakey’s V-League Finals showdown. Nerissa Bautista and Angel Vasquez of Adamson both had a bad game. Bautista’s usual kills were not there perhaps because in her first two tries she was received well by the Ateneo's rising star libero, Denise Lazaro.
Ateneo had 62 attack points, 62 block points, and 13 serves. On the other hand Adamson had 44 attacks, 6 blocks, and only 6. Kesinee and Valdez were also unstoppable in this game. They also blocked several spikes coming from the Adamson side.
The complete set scores were 23-25,25-18,25-20,25-20. The best player of the game was Fille Cainglet. The Lady Eagles won the first game of their best of 3 finals series against Adamson, 3 sets to 1.
Game 2 will be on May 17, 2011 at The Arena in San Juan. At 2 p.m. it will be a battle for second place as USLS goes against NU and finally at 4 p.m. it will be the second game of the best of 3 Finals between Ateneo and Adamson.
