Ateneo Blue Eagles Beat San Sebastian Stags In 2011 FilOil Flying V Premier Cup

Riding on a crest, the UAAP champions are looking to sweep the eliminations of the 2011 FilOil Flying V Premier Cup as they added another victim, when they beat the Lyceum University Pirates. They won with the score of 92 to 77. The Eagles are currently unbeaten together with the National University Bulldogs in group A.

Gre Slaughter set aside his pain in losing against Ginebra in the PBA semi-finals. He instead focused in this game. He scored 17 points and he grabbed 12 rebounds along with 3 dominating blocks. He is the new big man on campus for the Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles.

In the first half Ateneo had a 15 point lead. But the Lyceum University Pirates made a run to cut the lead down to 5 points. But they can't handle the new closer of Ateneo, the Phenom, Kiefer Ravena. Ravena had a sterling field goal shooting to lead Ateneo to a 14 to 2 run. He had 11 points.

Meanwhile, Nico Salva had a great defensive game and he also scored some points. He had 14 points. Ateneo's floor general Emman Monfort had 12 points.

The Pirates continue to struggle as they lost for the 2nd straight time. Their pride, Chris Cayabyab had 17 points.
