San Miguel Beermen Beats Air 21 Express PBA Season 36 2010

The San Miguel Beermen defeated Air 21 Express with the score of 100-86. The Beermen dominated in the whole game. Thanks to the great three point shooting of Don Don Hontiveros. Hontiveros score 24 points and 3 assists with 1 steal. I believe it is his best start ever in a PBA season game opener. When I saw the improvement on his decision making I told to my self that he has the will to improve just like Kobe Bryant. When you watch him play it is as if you're eating candy. He has a sweet stroke. I also like the way he does a shoulder fake and then he will pop a shot right on the money.

The first half of the game was close. Wesley Gonzales showed what he can do on the floor. He shot the ball well in the first half for Air 21. But the veterans of San Miguel bullied their way for the win. They know that Air 21 has several rookies. Jay Washington pitched in some putbacks and he made two crucial perimeter shots. The Beermen just had a great shooting. One bad news though for Air 21. Carlos Sharma was thrown out of the game with fines amounting to atleast 50,000 for spitting on the floor. His half brother Rabeh contributed some point, he made atleast 12 points.

Paul Artadi's quickness and peskiness and great in full court press also made it hard for Josh Urbiztondo to orchestrate the plays for the Express. But the bottomline, good for the Beermen they shot high percentage from the field while they were struggling on the freethrow line. But despite their poor freethrow shooting, fortunately they defended very well and they had great shooting.Otherwise they would lose. Danny Siegle also had a great game.
