B-Meg Derby Ace Beats Meralco In PBA Season 36 2010

It was the first win of the B-Meg Derby Ace Llamados and it was the sweetest so far because the win came at the expense of coach Ryan Gregorio their former head coach. They beat Meralco via 75-71.

George Gallent of B-Meg said, “We didn’t talk about coach Ryan Gregorio before the game, but I’m sure the boys were excited to play against their former coach."

James didn't score that much compared to his rival Mac Cardona but the supporting cast of B-Meg helped the cause of their team especially Jondan Salvador. He had 9 points and 10 rebounds.

Gerwin Gaco and Rico Maierhofer led the B-Meg bench in scoring. They defended very well against Asi Taulava and Marlou Aquino. Gaco had 10 points, while Maierhofer, the rookie of the year last year had 9 points and 14 rebounds with 5 huge blocked shots.

Jorge Gallent further said, “Good effort in rebounding helped us a lot in this game since we lost the battle off the boards in our first three games."

James Yap had 13 points while Cardona his rival had 24 points. The bad news is that Kirby Raymundo will be out for the rest of this year due to an injury.
