James Yap and Peter June Simon scored 16 points each but their efforts were put into waste by the stingy defense of Alaska.
James Yap carried his team up to the last 30 seconds of the game but his three pointer went short. They were forced to foul LA Tenorio. He made both free throws and the Aces went away with the victory with the score of 89-85.
Alaska showed their championship poise by taking all the quarters from B-Meg. They now have a 2 wins and 0 loss record they are at the top of the team standings together with Talk 'n Text. B-Meg never led in this game.
The leading scorer for Alaska was Joe Devance with 24 big points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks.
Devance said, “We’re just about 85 percent. We still have to work on our Triangle (offense), and we still have to work on our defense. But the sooner we get to that, we’ll get better."
