The Pilipinas U18 basketball team was defeated by China U18 basketball team via 83 to 75. Both of these teams are going for a flawless record in Group C last Friday in the Asian Under 18 Basketball championship in Sana’a Yemen.
Raphael Banal led all the scorers of the U18 Team with 19 points but the Chinese dominated them by using their height in getting rebounds. The chinese's rebounds stats was 41 while Pilipinas U18 only had 29. It helped them win over the brave young Filipinos. Pilipinas U18 now have a 2-1 win loss card. Prior to the defeat from the Chinese, Pilipinas U18 had beaten Syria last Thursday via 61-60. And they also defeated the tall and bulky Arabians.
Raphael Banal was helped by his Ateneo Highschool teamate, Kiefer Ravena. He was known as the Pinoy Phenom of the Philippines. He had 12 points and 4 assists in their game against the tall Chinese.
