Monday Denver Broncos wide receiver Kenny McKinley was found dead in his apartment.
According to the police Kenny McKinley perhaps committed suicide. After police arrived at the spot where his body was found, they investigated and it is believed that McKinley died from a self-inflicted gun injury, although the investigation is ongoing.
Broncos president and CEO Pat Bowlen said, “Everyone with the Broncos is shocked and saddened by the loss of Kenny McKinley. He was part of the Broncos’ family and will be greatly missed by our organization. My most heartfelt condolences go out to Kenny’s family and friends.”
“Everyone with the Broncos is shocked and saddened by the loss of Kenny McKinley,” Broncos owner Pat Bowlen said in a statement on the team’s official website. ”
In four years at South Carolina, McKinley took 207 passes along with 19 touchdowns. In 2007 when he was in his best form was named to the All-SEC team with 77 receptions for 968 yards and nine touchdowns.
